My way or no way?

They say that as ppl grow older, they become less radical, more tolerant and more willing see all shades of grey:-)
Somehow that does not work on me. Even though I cannot really say why, I see myself less willing to compromise and spend time on things that I perceive as nonsensical. Is it the realization that time is limited, stubbornness or senility?

PhD job hunting

Looking for the right lab to do your PhD is kinda tricky. You never have enough information. Either your information source is the group leader and gossip(don't need to explain the problem there) or you don't have comparison with other labs, with other possibilities. Should you take the job that is right in front of you or should you wait for another, one that may never arrive..
