Late night idea

Today, while listening to the news, I got a thinking about the world nowadays. The relativisation of everything reached its peak some time ago, but I have very strong feeling that things that are happening show how we are not sure what is good and what is bad anymore. We only care about how much money/power/sex/shoes/houses we get. I know that this is an idealist speaking but still: should we not get back to strict rules of what is good and fight for it?
